Hey boo! Omg!!! I just got back home, after watching the premier of Michael. It was soooo good. I absolutely LOVED IT! But I might be slightly biased. I am a BIG MJ fan. I literally cried from start to finish.I highly recommend watching it. It is heart-warming, heart shattering, and so inspiring. His life story is incredible. To be so young, and so extremely talented. It must have been so fun, but also so hard. Especially for a little kid. To have that kind of responsibility, would be difficult for anyone.

Spoiler alert!!
The scene where he was beaten in front of his family, genuinely, made me so angry, and honestly physically ill. I felt so bad for him. He was so small. And he did it so unnecessarily hard. Now I grow up in Norway. In Norway it is illegal to beat a child, no matter the circumstance. So, I am personally not used so see kids getting beaten. And I understand that it is another time, and another culture. But I can personally not see any benefit to doing that to a child. But that is a conversation for another day.
Another scene that made me genuinely angry, was the hospital scene. How can a loving parents first word to the doctor be “How is he? When can he perform again”. I mean at listed he the courtesy to ask how he was. But still. How can you even think about a performance, when their child literally just almost died. That is beyond selfish, it cruel. I am so glad that he left him at the end of the movie.

One thing I found very interesting was how they depicted adult Michael in the movie. It is clear that I didn’t ever grow up really. It’s like his childhood was stolen from him or sacrificed for his and his brother’s career. And now he seems kind of like a child trapped in an adults body. That might be way he cared so much about other. He had this child-like hope for the world, to be a better place. And genuinely believed he could “change the world to a better place”. We can see this both when he was making the “Thriller” music video with the gang members, and when he had his accident and donated money to the hospital.
It is so sad that this childishness. Led people to spread malicious rumours about him having inappropriate relationships with minors. When all he wanted was the best for them and protect them for actual predators. Through the movie we can see him going to children’s hospitals to brighten there day. He cared deeply about people especially children.

End of spoiler alert!!
Now I am not going to retell the entire movie her. Bottom line, I absolutely loved the movie.
And I 100% recommend it to anyone. I walked out of that movie theater feeling inspired by his story. And now I want to learn more about his life, and his passions. It is safe to say that I will be listening to a lot of MJ the next few weeks.

Update 27.04.26
Edit: (English is not my first language, and I don’t know the difference between was and were)
Hey! So, I have seen allot of people talking about the movie on social media. Apparently, it was not as accurate as I had assumed. It was not historically accurate to his life, and a lot of things were missing.
A few things that was not in the movie was Diana Ross, The Wiz and allegations against him. But most of the missing parts of the movie were not the production’s fault. It was because of legal issues.
But everyone says they liked the movie. So, it’s still a great movie. The acting was amazing, and the casting to. So you will walk out of the theat feeling good. If you don’t watch it to be 100% accurate. 😊
